Basil has been actively involved in the agricultural industry for more than 45 years. Although Basil has a strong background in the sugar cane industry, he maintains strong ties with the broader agricultural sector.

As well as being the former Mayor of the Shire, Neil is actively involved with many community groups throughout the region.
